Welcome to Cortez Heating and Air Conditioning
We are located in the Bradenton/Sarasota area, on the west coast of
Florida. Our company has been in business for over 40 years. We
service mechanical systems in the state of Florida, and our national
controls group services all of North America, including Puerto Rico and
the Caribbean.
Our work force of approximately 50 people specializes in commercial
systems service.
Our work force of approximately 50 people, amasses more than 400 years of combined commercial systems service experience. We service roof top package systems, split systems, D/X VAV systems, and chilled/hot water systems of all sizes. We specialize in packaged and split chillers up to 500 tons. Most of our people are cross-trained in service and controls.
Our talents include:
- Complete control systems for “Big Box” retail stores
- Replacement/remodel of HVAC equipment systems
- Multiple site regional and national accounts ie; Retail stores, Banks, Management companies, etc.
We like to fix what other companies can’t!
To insure quick response and control costs we utilize a wireless dispatching system, FieldCentrix, for our technicians. When our technicians receive a dispatched call, they have the job address, telephone numbers, names for contact, equipment lists and service history at their disposal. The systems tracks travel and work times, and generates clear, concise, and LEGIBLE invoices, that can be printed and faxed or mailed, or sent via email - paperlessly. As a customer, you can log onto our web portal and place service calls, and track them through creation, dispatch, travel, arrival, and completion, all without picking up a phone. You will have access to every call we ever perform for your business, enabling you to track costs, efficiency, success, etc.
We at Cortez pride ourselves on being out at the “bleeding edge” of current technology. You, as a customer, benefit from our expertise.

Code of Integrity and Technical Proficiency
GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!
Real Simple. If we don't fix it right the first time, the service call is free. Not just the return call, BOTH CALLS! Customers have grown used to calling the contractor back after the service call to fix the same problem.
Don't accept that level of service.
A company that does commercial work must have technicians that are trained to fix any problem right the first time.
