What's the difference between repairing and replacing an aging rooftop unit?
Repair makes sense when a unit is under 10 years old, and the fix addresses an isolated problem. Once repair costs start approaching 30 to 50 percent of replacement cost, or a unit is nearing the end of its expected life, replacement usually saves more money over the following years through efficiency gains alone.
